HOW DOES IT WORK?

Forma Facial uses radiofrequency technology to improve the skin's appearance by tightening, toning and rejuvenating it. It also improves skin's elasticity and collagen production. The treatments leave your skin looking fresh, smooth, tight and luminous.   Your medical aesthetician will apply a thin layer of conductive gel on the skin, which allows the applicator to easily glide over the skin’s surface. As the wand is moved in a circular motion over your skin, it will produce a tolerable heat and occasionally light prickling sensation.   While the applicator wand is equipped with sensors that detect your skin’s temperature and automatically adjust it to ensure that it does not get too hot, your medical aesthetician can lower the temperature settings if you experience discomfort. This sometimes happens for patients with sensitive skin or for delicate areas such as under the eye.   Once your medical aesthetician has treated the entire area, they will cover your face with a cool towel and remove the applicator gel. The procedure ends with an application of skincare products and sunscreen tailored to your skin type.

Forma Facial skin-tightening treatments help to firm and lift the skin, improve tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. You’ll see a noticeable improvement in your skin within one to three days following your treatment, once any redness or swelling has subsided. However, best results will be seen once you’ve completed your series of treatment sessions, and they will only continue to improve after that as your body continues to build new collagen.   You will see the best results by receiving a series of six Forma treatments, one week apart. You may experience these results for up to one year. To maintain your results after this time period, we recommend that you receive a maintenance treatment once per year.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?

Forma is a non-invasive procedure that typically requires no downtime. After your appointment, you may experience some redness and swelling similar to how you might look after a cardio workout. Some patients also report mild tingling immediately following their treatment, but most of these effects resolve within an hour while others with greater skin sensitivity may require a little more time before their skin returns to its baseline.
